Winter Weekend
The Winter Weekend is a Friday to Sunday residential event held early in January, currently at Nottingham University.
It provides you with an opportunity to do some non course based, recreational maths with a friendly group of like-minded people. The relaxed and social approach delivers maths for fun.
The 31st M500 Society Winter Weekend was held at Florence
Boot Hall, Nottingham University from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th
January 2012.
The topic was "The History of Mathematics" and we had a special guest on Sunday afternoon - Professor Robin Wilson who delivered a talk with two subjects - 'Great Mathematicians' and Euler.
The Weekend cost £193 for M500 members
and £198 for non-members. This included accommodation and
all meals from dinner on Friday to lunch on Sunday.
